Aromatherapy massage the heart of wellbeing ~ An ancient science of natural oils and healing, aromatherapy uses the knowledge of plant medicine and the senses to bring health and harmony to the body, mind and soul.

Then you'll just relax as your personalised blend is applied with massage techniques that work on the physical energy layers of the body as well as the subtle mental and emotional layers. Therapist ~ Lynne (ladies only).

Head to Toes: total de-stress ~ A luxury 90 minute to two hour massage here at Bodylight Therapy near Glastonbury, using gentle rhythmic strokes with firmer pressure in places. The whole body is nurtured from top to toe, with special attention to any areas where you are holding stress or tension. You will be led into a peaceful meditative state, with relaxing music (if desired) tuning into your inner rhythms and being cocooned in a bliss of warm towels, therapeutic oils and the nurturing caring touch of a skilled practitioner. Therapists ~ Lynne (ladies only) and Michael (men and ladies) .

Lomi Lomi Massage: a journey of mind body and spirit ~ Lomi Lomi is a form of Hawaiian Massage which offers a uniquely empowering, inspirational experience. Working with oils the therapist uses hands, forearms and body weight to make long sweeping strokes up and down the full length of the body.

Gentle body stretches and rotations of the joints are also incorporated to assist the release of tensions and the flow of energy, The continuous, rhythmic strokes of varying intensity gives the delightful impression of many hands working simultaneously or like gentle waves moving over the body. Therapist ~ Michael.

Indian Head Massage ~ an Ayurvedic form of healing and relaxation used widely in Asia. Ideal for any neck or shoulder tension, the massage starts on the back and neck moving on to the scalp, using techniques which relax, stimulate and revive. Finally, the treatment finishes with a wonderful soothing face massage, which includes pressure points and draining techniques.

A popular and relaxing massage that lasts about 50 minutes. Therapist ~ Michael.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy: go with the flow ~ This is the most relaxing technique because it is working with the fluid that nourishes all the nerves in your spinal cord. As it slowly flows, this fluid creates a rhythm throughout your body. The therapist assists this rhythm to self-correct dysfunctions in your body. Where there is a dysfunction, the rhythm is "stuck" and you feel pain, immobility, tension, etc. The cause is usually the result of a recent or past physical or emotional trauma.

The therapist here at Bodylight Therapy near Glastonbury uses a very gentle, non-invasive light touch to locate the "stuck" areas and to assist the return of rhythm to these areas. As this occurs there is a deep feeling of relaxation, more freedom of movement, and less pain. You can remain clothed for craniosacral therapy you wish. Therapist ~ Lynne (ladies and men).

Remedial & Orthopaedic Massage ~ Ideal for the treatment of painful or restrictive musculoskeletal problems. A variety of techniques are used here at Bodylight Therapy near Glastonbury to release tight and shortened muscles, to increase joint mobility and improve posture and ease of movement. The therapist will undertake a full postural examination to identify areas of tension, restriction, injury or misalignment, prior to the bespoke session. Therapists ~ Lynne (ladies only) and Michael (ladies and men).

Sports Massage: fit & toned ~ A more vigorous form of massage designed to improve flexibility and blood circulation to muscles, remove toxins from the tissues and to help a sportsman or woman get their body into peak condition to aid optimum performance. The benefits include better muscle group balance, improved micro circulation, increase of tissue elasticity, optimum joint movement, and decreased likelihood of sporting injuries. Therapist ~ Michael.

Hot Stone Massage Therapy: recharge and release ~ A deeply relaxing and therapeutic massage using specially sourced volcanic basalt stones, which are heated in water and then laid on the body to provide a deep and penetrating heat. The therapist will also use another set of heated stones, covered in healing massage oils to massage you. As the stones cool they are replaced with fresh hot stones, and the heat helps to relax tight muscles and tissues, which then promotes a release of toxins from those tissues. Therapist ~ Michael.

Hands of Light: the healing touch ~ Healing hands hold you lightly listening for the rhythm of your inherent wellness that is always present in your body. It may have become clouded through stress, illness or trauma but it is still there ~ it is your essential life force. You are guided in a healing meditation settling the mind and connecting you with your inner self; as healing energy is focused through the hands on different parts of your body including the chakra energy centres.

As you enter into a state of inner peace, problems fade, emotions ease, tension and tightness in the body dissipates and your breathing harmonises as you connect with your own healing essence. Therapists ~ Lynne (ladies only) and Michael (ladies and men).
